Continuing Education for Florida Contractors
Your renewal deadline
Florida contractor licenses require 14 hours of approved continuing education every two years.
- Registered contractors: renew by August 31, 2027.
- Certified contractors: renew by August 31, 2028.
Required topics include 1 hour each of workers’ compensation, workplace safety, business practices, and laws and rules, plus advanced Florida Building Code and, for applicable license types, wind mitigation. Source: Florida Statute 489.115.
