Four ways the SMC pays off

Membership is open to anyone whose firm is a member of the Collier Building Industry Association. The council runs the Sand Dollar Awards, the Industry Panel and the annual Toy Drive, and your dues also carry a national membership.

Network

Meet peers and potential customers on a professional and social basis. Join others on an SMC Committee, which invites participation by all members. Connect with like-minded sales and marketing professionals locally, statewide and nationally.

Education

Stay on top of changing trends through practical sales training, national certification and motivational speakers. Earn designations that increase your annual sales.

Awards & Recognition

SMC membership allows you to enter the Annual Sand Dollar Awards, recognizing those who have made impressive contributions to new home sales and marketing in the CBIA area.

National Membership

Membership in the National Sales and Marketing Council is included in your SMC fee, bringing the Million Dollar Circle Awards, The Nationals, the NSMC hotline and its research library.

What the council runs

Brew & Burgers Bash

The council’s annual social, held at a member location. Builders, suppliers and sales and marketing professionals in one room, with no program to sit through.

Educational Sessions

Practical sessions built from what members actually ask for, plus national certification courses toward the Certified Sales Professional, Certified New Home Marketing Professional and Master in Residential Marketing designations.

Holiday Happening

CBIA’s annual holiday event, produced with the SMC, on December 15, 2026. At the Holiday Happening we install the CBIA and CBIF Boards of Directors, thank our past board members, acknowledge our volunteers, and present the Associate, Builder and Women of Distinction awards.

Industry Panel

A very popular annual event presented by the SMC, bringing county leadership and industry principals in front of the membership. Sponsorship is $500 and includes your company name and logo on all flyers, advertisements and notices, recognition during the event, and signage on site.

Parade of Homes

Collier County’s showcase of new homes, presented by CBIA at paradeofhomesnaples.com. The SMC supports the program, which draws entries from builders across the county each year.

Sand Dollar Awards

The largest and most prestigious awards program recognizing excellence in building, interior design, landscape design, marketing and advertising. The SMC organizes this annual event, and judging is conducted virtually.
