CBIA is at the forefront of advocating for our members and the building industry in local regulatory and legislative arenas. We actively monitor and engage with the agendas and actions of key stakeholders such as County Commissioners, City Councils, fire departments, and building and planning departments. We strive to provide members and consumers with information about issues affecting the building industry and also provide contact information for local regulatory and government agencies.
In collaboration with the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA), the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and other local organizations, CBIA addresses critical issues impacting the construction industry. Through our strong linkages to FHBA and NAHB, CBIA is the only local organization providing our members direct access to Tallahassee and Washington D.C.
The Governmental Affairs arm of the CBIA functions as a liaison between local, state and federal elected officials and our builder and associate members in Collier County and the local municipal governments within its boundaries.
Legislative questions or concerns should be directed to Amelia Vasquez, amelia@cbia.net or 239-436-6100.
