| ARM Committee |
Chairperson: Shelley Kienzle, Reliable Roll-Offs
Ambassadors, Retention & Membership are the responsibilities of the newly chartered ARM Committee. Planning and organizing membership drives and improving new member involvement are just a few of the avenues through which ARM supports CBIA. ARM is literally the foundation of our association.

| Business Building Council |
Chairperson: Patty Wedge Ludwig, Advanced Insurance Underwriters
Dedicated to Trades, Vendors and Suppliers, this council works at meeting the needs of these members to enhance their opportunities to network, gain education on running their businesses, and promote their products and services.

| Commercial Builders Council |
Chairperson: Mike Rosen, Collier Enterprises
A council that focuses on commercial construction industry issues as they relate to education, codes, bonding, AIA, insurance, OSHA and new technology. It provides a forum for the study and effect of these issues on this segment of the membership. Meets monthly.

| Communications/PR |
Chairperson: Laura Johnston, LVJ Marketing
Focuses on the coordination, localization and dissemination of industry and association news to association members and the general public. This committee also serves as the editorial board for Business Builder, the official newspaper of the CBIA.

| Education Committee |
Chairperson: Bill Varian, CGR, CAPS, CGP, William J. Varian Construction Company
Plans seminars and classes covering topics from Construction Lien Law to Management Training. Continuing Education is a focus of this committee. CBIA has active scholarship programs for a variety of applications.

| Finance Committee |
Chairperson: Tom Wegwert, Crystal Building Services
CBIA watchdogs ensure Association's expenditures stay in line with the budget. Made up of member CPA's and businesspeople; the annual budget committee is usually picked from this committee. Meets once a month.

| Golf |
Chairperson: Jim Butler
Organizes the annual spring, summer, and fall golf outings and companion buffet lunches and awards ceremonies.

| Governmental Affairs |
Chairperson: Melissa Ahern, Kaye Homes
Monitors local, state and federal legislation and provides commentary, if necessary, on pending legislation that affects the building industry. Subcommittee chairmen follow city and county legislation.

| Parade of Homes Committee |
Chairperson:
CBIA annually presents the single site and multi-site parade in Naples’ finest communities. The single site markets around five to eight builders' new models designed and constructed specifically for the event. The multi-site showcase of new homes is Collier County’s largest and most widely attended. Committee members are responsible for recruiting sponsors and builder participants, selecting judges, writing TV and radio commercials.

| Plans Room |
Chairperson: Jim Flanagan, FlanaConsulting, Inc.
Seeks out ways to enhance the use of the Plans Room, improve the facility and educate the members on the benefits of using the Plans Room.

| Spike Club |
Chairperson: Steve Lawson, Top Knott, Knotts Plastering
Chairperson: Lisa Adams, Knotts Plastering
The Spike club is a leadership club comprised of an elite group of members who have been recognized for outstanding achievements in membership recruitment and retention. Special perks of “Spike status” are social events, programs and awards at the local, state and national levels for which only Spike Club members are eligible.
