Collier Building Industry Foundation Awards 2012 Scholarships to Three Students.

The Collier Building Industry Foundation (CBIF) has announced their 2012 scholarship recipients; they are: Andres Boral, David Martinez and Robert McGinnis. According to the CBIF president, Bill Ryan, "These students exemplify the types of individuals who will be well-prepared to represent our industry today and into the future."

The CBIF scholarship program receives support from members of the Collier Building Industry Association who value the importance of partnering with our local education institutions to ensure today's students are well prepared for tomorrows' needs in the construction related fields.

Andres Boral holds an undergraduate degree from Florida Gulf Coast University in civil engineering. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in business administration and also works as a project engineer intern at CBIA member firm, JR Evans Engineering. While in high school, Andres served as the Vice President of the CBIF Flagship Construction Academy at Lely High School in 2006. Andres has won this scholarship several times.

David Martinez, a senior at Palmetto Ridge High School, is a first time recipient of the CBIF scholarship. David currently serves as the president of the PRHS Future Builders of America chapter and has been accepted to the University of Central Florida where he will begin classes in the fall. He intends to pursue his degree in mechanical engineering.

Robert McGinnis has also received his third scholarship from the Collier Building Industry Foundation. He is currently a junior at Florida Gulf Coast University pursuing his degree in environmental and civil engineering. He is a member of the FGCU Engineering Society. Robert graduated from St. John Neumann High School.
